No dobro sad ajmo mi na neke vedrije teme kao npr. US5!!
Uspjela sam nać neki intervju.....na engleskom je nadam se da bu te sve skužili jer nije mi se dalo prevađat:
We caught up with Richie, Chris, Jay, Michael and Izzy to find out why they reckon us British girls are so, erm, clean?!
Have you all always wanted to be singers?
Michael: Not always, but I’ve always wanted to be in entertainment somehow, being on stage performing in front of people.
Jay: I remember I was two and a half years old and I heard Michael Jackson’s Thriller for the first time. That’s when I knew how I have to do this.
Why was the show specifically looking for a German / American mix?
Izzy: It was the International feel we were looking for. One of the guys is actually from the UK. A couple of us from America, and then we picked a couple of guys who were German too.
Jay: It’s what makes us stand out a bit. Besides our show and our entertainment level, we’re trying to bring back the old boy band vibe to its roots, and bring our fans and our audience an amazing show: acrobatics, you know!
So, what kind of gruelling auditions did you have to go through to get into the band?
Chris: For me it was a whole month-long audition process, I had auditioned in Florida and it was week after week of call backs. It was really nerve racking and I think out of about a couple of thousand kids that came out I was the only one that kept being there.
Izzy: It was just absolutely nerve wracking. This was always something I’d wanted personally for a very long time, to be in one of Lou Pearlman’s bands. Seeing all these guys with so much talent, I’m like, sitting there shaking, going, ‘Pick me, pick me!’
Richie: I went and sang in front of these two casting directors. They asked me to come back the next day and then it was like (does imitation voice of a studio executive type!): ‘Alright kid, we need you in Orlando in, like, two days, we’re starting to film a TV show.’ And I went ‘Oh, ok.’ (laughs)
Was it all a bit surreal?
Richie: Yeah it was, to call my mom ‘I’m flying to Orlando in two days,’ yeah, so funny.
How do you cope living so far away from your friends and family?
Richie: That was really hard, ‘cause I’m only 17. I don’t think any of us have felt like we wanna quit, but there are times where you wonder why you’re doing it.
Jay: Yeah it is kinda tough. Especially now being in the UK, knowing they’re not that far away. But still not being able to see them ‘cause there’s so much work to do. That’s really tough.
What was your biggest phone bill?
Izzy: Two thousand euros (about one thousand three hundred pounds!). It was a mobile phone, and I didn’t realise how much I was spending. My mom was freaking out, shouting, ‘That’s the last cell phone you ever get to have.’
You’re huge stars in Germany. Is it weird being able to walk around unrecognised in England?
Chris: On the one hand it feels really good just being able to walk on the streets with nobody rushing at you. And on the other hand I want people to recognise us!
Izzy: Yeah personally, it is like a breath of fresh air. You can go to the supermarket or whatever, without getting mobbed.
Jay: It’s very weird actually, but you know, the thought of walking around Oxford Street and being recognised by everyone is out of this world. It gives me goose bumps, ‘cause like, to make it in the UK, would be an achievement for me.
What do you think of the girls in the UK compared to everywhere else?
Chris: In the UK there’s only beautiful girls, and their like mainly, like… WOW !
Izzy: And I like the accent, that’s my favourite. We haven’t really developed a huge fan base out here. But we’ve been doing small spaces, and those girls sure can scream their heads off.
Michael: In the UK especially the girls are so clean. They look like they take care of themselves.
Izzy, your old band once played a concert with Jessica Simpson. Did you get to meet her?
Izzy: No, we were just the support act. We got to go along and open up, and sit in a tiny dressing room, while Jessica’s probably sitting there in her dressing room getting massages, and you know... laying on a bed of roses.
